EXTRACTION OF THE MEDICINE:
When samples arrive at our lab, our first objective is that of extracting the medicine for analysis. Our samples are extracted with reagent grade solvents following well established procedures. In all batches we include standardized material for quality control purposes.
SEPARATION OF CANNABINOIDS:
Following extraction, cannabinoids are then separated using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography. This allows the isolation and eventual quantitation of all cannabinoids present.
DETECTION AND QUANTITATION:
Specific cannabinoids are identified using Diode Array Detection and quantified using calibration curves generated from reagent grade standards. In all analyses, we include multiple check standards (i.e. standards of known concentration) to ensure quality of analysis.
